The work-life juggle is always on my mind. Is it on yours?
I’ve been a working parent throughout my children’s lives. The norm for R and G is that both of their parents go to an office, go on business trips, and put a lot of effort into managing the demands of parenting and career. Sometimes, my husband and I juggle this all very well, and, as you can imagine, sometimes we don’t. Since study after study indicates that kids with two working parents grow up to be healthy and well-adjusted (and sometimes, are better off than kids parented by a stay-at-home mom) and since my husband and I enjoy our careers, we’ve relied upon professional child care providers, family, a detailed family calendar, and luck to make it all come together.
I write about our work-life juggle here on Red Shutters. Read on and enjoy.
