One of our favorite autumn activities is to go apple picking. This year was our fourth family excursion to a local apple orchard (check out our previous adventures here and here).
It’s one of those perfect New Englandy things to do: you pick apples, eat several as you walk along, go on a hay ride, get lost in the hay maze, say hello to a llama, jump in the bouncy house, and eat just-from-the-oven cider donuts covered in sugar and cinnamon. We added in a pick-your-own-pumpkin element this year, and the kids loved it.
Since my future is filled with apple crisp and applesauce, I thought I’d take a look back at previous apple picking adventures. There’s nothing like reviewing photos from the same annual event to realize how quickly the kids grow–and hairstyles change.
Happy autumn to you!
