I’m getting ready to make our holiday cards (I know, already?), so I’ve been going through our pictures. This one, of R at my brother’s wedding this summer, illustrates how I’ve felt been lately (reflective) and what I want (a little down time).
What is it about life these days where everything is happening so fast? I just want some quiet, so I can, as someone told me this week, hear through the noise to what’s important.
I’m going to work on that this weekend. I’m also going to have fun (a date with my husband! time with friends!), and maybe even unpack a box of two. I hope your weekend is filled with time for yourself, some fun, and a good night’s rest.
Here are some quick links for the weekend…
- Pumpkin macaroni – I cannot get enough the Halloween/Thanksgiving season!
- Why polio persists
- The quest to find survivors of eugenics in North Carolina
- Chimps days in research may be dwindling
And to the sublime… because I recently watched Overboard, the second funniest Goldie Hawn movie ever (#1 is Protocol)…
It is not the question what am I going to be when I grow up;
you should ask the question, who am I going to be when I grow up.
